Lavelle Prep is proud to have partnered with the New York Jets’ “Jets Tackle Bullying” program through the STOMP Out Bullying efforts. Stomp Out bullying is the leading national anti-bullying and cyberbullying organization for kids and teens.
Each week, Lavelle Prep will select middle and high school students whom have exhibited “upstander” behavior to honor with three tickets to a NY Jets home game, a parking pass, and a STOMP Out Bullying t-shirt to proudly wear in recognition of their achievement.
An upstander is defined as, “an individual who sees wrong and acts to take a stand against injustice or intolerance. Someone who intervenes on behalf of someone who is being bullied.” Encouraging and celebrating upstanders is an important part of Lavelle Prep’s culture, and we are proud to have collaborated with organizations who share the same mission.
Eligible students will be determined by accumulation of Optimist Creed points as well as teacher, team leader and counselor nominations.
Winners will be announced in school, as well as on our school website and Twitter account.
Game and Student Selection Schedule is as follows:
